 Our Mission
We are a non-profit district working to preserve and protect our water body by partnering with our community leaders to promote a clean, and healthy environment for all citizens by using education along with proven water management practices to improve our water resource.

 Our Vision
Our vision is for a community where our residents and general public benefit from the human conveniences that we have incorporated to ensure that Friendship Lake is not compromised in quality or quantity as a valued water resource. Our vision is a community that regularly uses, enjoys, and assists in conservation efforts to keep and maintain this lake for future generations.
Did you know that if you cannot make the board meeting in person, you can call into the meeting and hear what is going on? If you are interested in finding out how to do this, please email Tina Meinen at and I will walk you through the set up process.

What's going on with the Lake?

DAM UPDATE: Dustin Rudie of Staab Construction will manage the Friendship Lake 2019 Dam Repair Project. The Board met with Dustin on April 1, 2019. It has been decided that the project will be completed during the month of August with the full drawdown of Friendship Lake to begin on July 8, 2019. We are required to follow the State of Wisconsin and DNR guidelines which allows lowering the lake no more than six inches per day. The board is currently working with Staab on the final details of this repair project.

21st Spring Fling – 5/18/2019 Submitted by Linda Moonan

Winter is over and everyone is getting restless for warmer weather. A Spring Fling is all about getting together with family, friends, and neighbors while eating some good food, enjoying a few drinks, and winning some great prizes.

Your door prize ticket this year will include all the gift certificate and gift cards so more door prizes will be won. Through our fundraising raffle we are able to make contributions to the Lake District for specific needs, so join us for our 21st Fling and help to make the 2019 event opener successful.

Mark your calendar for Saturday May 18, 2019 for the Friends of Friendship Lake annual Spring Fling fundraiser to be held at the Cedar Shack in Adams, Wisconsin. See flyer included with this newsletter.

The suggestion to include a choice of appetizers during the cash bar cocktail hour is planned as details are finalized for our 21st Fling. Caricature Artist, Joey Hetzel, will be on stage during the cocktail hour to do a complimentary caricature. We encourage you to take advantage of Joey’s talent. She has been doing caricatures for ten years and comes to us from Stevens Point.

Friendship Lake 1st Annual Golf Outing Fundraiser is scheduled for August 3, 2019, 2:00pm, Mound View Gold Course. Availability for 18 4-person teams. What's going to happen to our fish during the draw down?

Fish will seek out deeper water and can migrate upstream and down stream as the water level lowers.  But the GOOD NEWS is..Jennifer Bergman, Fish Biologist with the DNR in Adams County, has verified that with the full draw down of Friendship Lake, the Friendship Lake District is eligible for a no cost fish restocking program.  DNR has also issued a 50/50 grant of $1,713.00 to help with our restocking with a private fishery.  The plan is to restock Bass and Pan fish once the lake is back up to good levels in September 2019.  DNR will stock Northern Pike in October 2019.  DNR will then evaluate our fish population in Spring 2020 & 2021 and will stock based on their evaluation.
Harvester Boat Ramp Construction

DNR has approved our application for the harvester ramp.  We posted in the paper that we are currently taking bids for this job.
